Following the lukewarm reception of 2013’s Britney Jean, Britney Spears is ready to roll out another record next month with a lead single debuting sometime in April. This will be Spears’ ninth studio album, which was about 80% done in February per her manager, so be on the lookout for it. Not much is known about the musical direction of the new album, but if Spears continues the sound of her last few albums, expect another electronic tour de force.
Spears has been performing in Las Vegas since 2013 as a resident in Axis Auditorium. Her show, Britney: Piece of Me, was just extended until 2017.
