Buffalo New York’s Goo Goo Dolls have released the first official single, “So Alive” from the upcoming Boxes album. Goo Goo Dolls are Johnny Rzeznik and Robby Takac. The vibrant song is a definitely an indicator on how the album’s sound is shaping up to be. The album is full of energy and is an extension of their last album, Magnetic. The band’s good vibe has continued on this particular album especially with the feel good anthem “Souls in the Machine”. The upbeat “Over and Over” was released as a preview for Boxes late last month. The album, due out May 6, will be released via Warner Bros. Records. The Goo Goo Dolls are set to go out on the road starting July 8 in Portland, Oregon. Tour dates are below. Take a listen to “So Alive” below as well.
