Grammy winning multi-instrumentalist Nate Mercereau has released an exploratory and immersive new album full of avant-garde sounds. The psychedelic album Excellent Traveler (via Third Man Records) encapsulates traveling physically but traveling emotionally as well. The record made in different locations is a sensational and sonic overload for the ears and takes you into another dimension. Mercereau captures guitar work with every moment through sampling.
I talked with the multi-instrumentalist about the new record, working with André 3000, and what it feels like to win a Grammy.
