Cleveland, Ohio based band Orange Animal have been together since 2017. Their songs are generally sentimental but I have a soft spot for “Run Lovers Run” which has a rocking Black Keys (who are from Akron, Ohio) meets Led Zeppelin groove to it.
John Ramsey, lead singer of the rock trio, knows how to write the blues, sing the blues, and be all about the blues. The rock outfit, which consists of John Ramsey (vocals/guitar), Bill Derivan (bass/keys), and Adam Thurman (drums/percussion) make up Orange Animal. Their new EP Place For Me via Paper Garden Records is due out June 26. Check out the lead single “Place For Me” below and watch our interview below and watch for these guys.
