Bruno Mars will be getting a little help with the Superbowl Halftime Show after all. Iconic funk rock band the Red Hot Chili Peppers are scheduled to play with him at next month’s festivities on February 2. Bruno Mars joins an esteemed list of recent halftime acts that includes Beyoncé, Madonna, The Who, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Prince, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and U2.

Foster the People debuted on the scene in 2011 with the album Torches, which garnered the group two Grammy awards. The band is known for its dance infused pop rock that spans many genres. Their follow up album is set to be released sometime this year and is said to be more organic.  Mark Foster was quoted as saying that “This record still has the joy that our first album did, but it’s been thrown into a pit and forced to dance among wolves”. Big Boi and Andre 3000, otherwise known as Outkast, the rap duo who helped not only to shape southern hip hop, but mainstream rap music as well, are ready to reunite at two major upcoming festivals. It’s officially confirmed that the duo will make an appearance at Coachella Music and Arts Festival on April 11 and 18. Iconic rock band Guns n’ Roses have set tour dates up for their winter tour, which includes stops in South America. The dates were announced today. The start of the trip south begins with headlining the second night of the Hell & Heaven Metal Festival, followed by stops in four different countries. Brooklyn based band of siblings and friends, The Skins, are a soulful quintet with some rock chops. Together they make up a young rebel rock act that is ready to be heard. Founding member of rap group Three 6 Mafia has died of an apparent heart attack at age 40 this past Friday night. Ricky “Lord Infamous” Dunigan died in his sleep at his mother’s house in Memphis, Tennessee. Dunigan was not currently sick but did fall victim to a stroke and heart attack back in 2010. He, DJ Paul, and Juicy J came together in the early 90s to form what was rap group Three 6 Mafia. In 1991, their debut album, Music Stylez, was born. Love him or hate him, but Chris Brown has a new single out called “Loyal”. The track, which premiered on his web site, features rappers Lil’ Wayne and French Montana. Despite “Blurred Lines” being named the worst song of the year, Robin Thicke does not care as he forges ahead with his next single. The uptempo “Feel Good”, which can be seen below for your viewing pleasure, has a bunch of dancers a la Radio City Rocketttes and the song itself promises not to rip off any previous soul singers. The Wild Feathers have announced a winter headline tour presented by Filter. The North American run kicks off January 22 in Austin, TX, and runs through SXSW. Full tour dates are below and along with that take a listen to their single “The Ceiling”; ticket on-sales begin Friday. Saints of Valory and Jamestown Revival will support.
