Kings of Leon are ready to have some fun. Their new album Can We Please Have Fun is due out May 10. The lead single “Mustang” was released today after a heavy round of promotion all week on their socials. The upcoming album was recorded and produced at Drake Horse Studios in Nashville.

“It was the most enjoyable record I’ve ever been a part of,” Caleb Followill said in a statement. “It’s like we allowed ourselves to be musically vulnerable,” Nathan Followill added, “I love it when a rock band is not embarrassed to admit that every song doesn’t have to be on 11.”

The eighth album was produced by Markus Dravs and a tour with Phantogram is to follow.
