Australian rock act Temper Trap is back at it. Their third album isn’t out til June, but this song is going back to their anthem days of their first album. “Fall Together” is reminiscent of their song “Sweet Disposition”. The band has brought songwriters in on this album as well. “The new album is filled with hope, raw energy and a passion that brought us back to the early days,” drummer/vocalist Toby Dundas tells Billboard magazine. Heavy alt-rock favorite, The Deftones, have officially released their new album, Gore, on April 8 via Warner Bros. Records. With that, came a free performance at Amoeba Record Store in Hollywood, California this past Monday night. The show was free and open to the public. Fans who bought the album ahead of time was guaranteed entry into the show. Gore follows up the band’s 2012 album Koi No Yokan, which featured the song “Tempest”. Following the lukewarm reception of 2013’s Britney Jean, Britney Spears is ready to roll out another record next month with a lead single debuting sometime in April. This will be Spears’ ninth studio album, which was about 80% done in February per her manager, so be on the lookout for it. Not much is known about the musical direction of the new album, but if Spears continues the sound of her last few albums, expect another electronic tour de force. Buffalo New York’s Goo Goo Dolls have released the first official single, “So Alive” from the upcoming Boxes album. Goo Goo Dolls are Johnny Rzeznik and Robby Takac. The vibrant song is a definitely an indicator on how the album’s sound is shaping up to be. The album is full of energy and is an extension of their last album, Magnetic. The band’s good vibe has continued on this particular album especially with the feel good anthem “Souls in the Machine”. Los Angeles band Night Lights is ready to unleash their quirky dance sound and assault your senses with their latest song “Childish”. The band members, Mau Jimenez, Yusuke Sato, Jeff Kinsey, Dag Hanken, who make up Night Lights, have a garage jam session in the new video. Iggy Azalea just released her new single “Team” from her new forthcoming album, Digital Distortion. This is Azalea’s first solo single in over three years. Azalea, who recently departed ways with mentor and rapper T.I., admitted to having a psychotic breakdown due to exhaustion and was tired of how the media portrayed her within the last year. Garbage announced today that they are set to release their sixth studio album, Strange Little Birds. The new album is set for release on June 10 on the band’s own STUNVOLUME label. Birds follows up 2012’s Not Your Kind of People. Garbage is comprised of Shirley Manson, Steve Marker, Duke Erikson and Butch Vig. The Lumineers worked really hard to help re-revolutionize the folk genre a few years back and bring it to the forefront of mainstream America. The collective known for the singles “Ho Hey” and “Stubborn Love” reached the masses in 2011 and 2012.
