Americana band, Bootstraps, is picking up where the Wallflowers left off. The band just re-released their self-titled debut album this past February and has officially premiered their single for “Sleeping Giant” on YouTube and have embarked on their first ever U.S. tour. Get ready to hold your significant other and the lasts wig of whiskey close to the bonfire this summer and sway back and forth to the tunes of Bootstraps.

Multi-platinum and Grammy nominated recording artist Gavin DeGraw and acclaimed singer/songwriter Matt Nathanson are launching a co-headlining tour this summer with special guests Mary Lambert and Andrew McMahon. The tour will include pit stops to San Diego, Los Angeles, New York, and Boston. Tickets for most markets go on sale Friday March 21st. The Aussie rock act reminiscent of Jet, the Vernons,  have released their new video for “Shake ‘n’ Roll”, which can be seen below. Fellow Scottish and Chvrches approved band, Prides, is gearing up for SXSW  Music Festival. Their new single “The Seeds You Sow” is to be released on March 18. The video for the synth pop trio can be seen below along with upcoming tour dates. The band also has an upcoming show at Rough Trade. Critics are already calling them arena-friendly rock. Nine Inch Nails lead singer, Trent Reznor, is still upset with the Grammys so much so that he is calling the show “an utter waste of time”. Reznor recently had the time to sit down for an interview with New Zealand’s 3 News expressing his discontent further with the show that cut his performance off with Dave Grohl, Queens of the Stone Age, and Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham. Melodic rock trio Shy Hunters is set to release their debut album, O That I Had Wings, with the release of the first single “Idle Days”. The trio have been playing all over the NYC scene for the past few years now. The new album puts the band in focus for 2014. Shy Hunters next show is February 27 at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn. Mariah Carey has finally set a release date for her 11th studio album, The Art of Letting Go. It will be released on May 6 and she has released yet another single from the forthcoming album called “You’re Mine (Eternal)”. Her breathy vocals make the song sound very sensual, not to mention the high octaves she reaches at the end of the song. The rest of the song falls flat, though, as it mixes her previous songs “We Belong Together” and “Touch My Body” in a rehashed Mariah Carey tune that sounds all too familiar. Pop meets country with Sweden-American pop rock outfit Grizfolk. The band opens three sold out shows with Bastille next week, including a show at NYC’s Webster Hall. Grizfolk will be playing Pianos in NYC January 23 and headlines the Troubador in West Hollywood, California on January 29. The band plans to play SXSW this spring and open for ZZ Ward. Their EP From the Spark, coming out 2/25, features the lead single “The Struggle”, which can be heard below. NYC post-punk band SKATERS have announced their record release party for their debut album Manhattan at the Bowery Ballroom on February 25. Following an appearance at SXSW 2014, the tour will start off in Santa Ana, California and wind down on the east coast in Philadelphia on April 4. See tour dates below.
