Highly influential dance-punk duo, Death From Above 1979, have finally revealed more details about their much anticipated new album, The Physical World, which will be released on Last Gang Records on September 9. New York band, Little Racer, officially takes over New York City’s Pianos every Wednesday night in June starting on June 4. The band is spreading the word about their Modern Accent EP, which was released in April via PaperCup Music. The first single, “Dancing” is catching on like wildfire hitting NYLON, BBC Radio, and New Music Express. The band is easily influenced by rock music from the past three decades alone as the band’s sound borrows heavily from the soft rock 80s category. Arc & Stones have a retro 80s/90s retro sound that they are building upon with their release of their EP, As You Were, on June 10. The band’s New York roots crossover with a Nashville sound. The band is now opening up for Kansas, and drummer Phil Ehart of Kansas has taken Arc & Stones under his wing as manager. Lost In Los Angeles, a lush packed melodic-based quartet with a light throwback sound to Depeche Mode, has just premiered their new video for “Cloud City”, which can be seen below. The Aussie rock act reminiscent of Jet, the Vernons, have released their new video for “Shake ‘n’ Roll”, which can be seen below. Fellow Scottish and Chvrches approved band, Prides, is gearing up for SXSW Music Festival. Their new single “The Seeds You Sow” is to be released on March 18. Nine Inch Nails lead singer, Trent Reznor, is still upset with the Grammys so much so that he is calling the show “an utter waste of time”. Melodic rock trio Shy Hunters is set to release their debut album, O That I Had Wings, with the release of the first single “Idle Days”. The trio have been playing all over the NYC scene for the past few years now. The new album puts the band in focus for 2014. Shy Hunters next show is February 27 at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn.
