Alicia Keys just released a new song enticing that a new album is about to follow. “In Common” finds the singer with air-y vocals over a lush piano-drum beat melody that sounds very reminiscent of Drake and Rihanna’s “Take Care”. This is a low key affair from her last song, “28,000 days”. The singer rejoices about her possible relationship with Swizz Beatz in this new song. P!nk has just released some new material—the first in over three years. The song called “Just Like Fire” is featured on the soundtrack to Alice Through the Looking Glass, which hits theaters today. “Just Like Fire” was co-written by P!nk, Max Martin, Shellback and Oscar Holter. Kristin Welchez, aka Dee Dee from the Dum Dum Girls, has ventured off onto her own side project called Kristin Kontrol. It’s quite the departure from her indie rock band the Dum Dum Girls. Welchez has been quoted for saying that she’s like a Kate Bush meets Mariah Carey. Her influences for this project included Madonna, TLC, Janet Jackson, to Debbie Gibson. 80s glam and 90s pop is what direction her debut is shaping up to be. The lead single “X-Communicate” is a synth 80s retro dream as she sings “should we x-communicate our love?/or should we wait?” Welchez says…
