Flume has released another new track from his upcoming LP Skin. He finds himself joining up with Tove Lo for “Say It”. BBC Radio premiered the song on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show today. Listen to the track below.

As Modern Frequency previously reported, alt rock band Garbage has their new album Strange Little Birds dropping June 10. The first single has officially been unleashed. “Empty” finds lead vocalist Shirley Manson’s vocals fresh and right on point. Check the tune below.

P!nk has just released some new material—the first in over three years. The song called “Just Like Fire” is featured on the soundtrack to Alice Through the Looking Glass, which hits theaters today. “Just Like Fire” was co-written by P!nk, Max Martin, Shellback and Oscar Holter. Kristin Welchez, aka Dee Dee from the Dum Dum Girls, has ventured off onto her own side project called Kristin Kontrol. It’s quite the departure from her indie rock band the Dum Dum Girls. Welchez has been quoted for saying that she’s like a Kate Bush meets Mariah Carey. Her influences for this project included Madonna, TLC, Janet Jackson, to Debbie Gibson. 80s glam and 90s pop is what direction her debut is shaping up to be. The lead single “X-Communicate” is a synth 80s retro dream as she sings “should we x-communicate our love?/or should we wait?” Welchez says…

Australian rock act Temper Trap is back at it. Their third album isn’t out til June, but this song is going back to their anthem days of their first album. “Fall Together” is reminiscent of their song “Sweet Disposition”. The band has brought songwriters in on this album as well. “The new album is filled with hope, raw energy and a passion that brought us back to the early days,” drummer/vocalist Toby Dundas tells Billboard magazine. Heavy alt-rock favorite, The Deftones, have officially released their new album, Gore, on April 8 via Warner Bros. Records. With that, came a free performance at Amoeba Record Store in Hollywood, California this past Monday night. The show was free and open to the public. Fans who bought the album ahead of time was guaranteed entry into the show. Gore follows up the band’s 2012 album Koi No Yokan, which featured the song “Tempest”. Following the lukewarm reception of 2013’s Britney Jean, Britney Spears is ready to roll out another record next month with a lead single debuting sometime in April. This will be Spears’ ninth studio album, which was about 80% done in February per her manager, so be on the lookout for it. Not much is known about the musical direction of the new album, but if Spears continues the sound of her last few albums, expect another electronic tour de force. Buffalo New York’s Goo Goo Dolls have released the first official single, “So Alive” from the upcoming Boxes album. Goo Goo Dolls are Johnny Rzeznik and Robby Takac. The vibrant song is a definitely an indicator on how the album’s sound is shaping up to be. The album is full of energy and is an extension of their last album, Magnetic. The band’s good vibe has continued on this particular album especially with the feel good anthem “Souls in the Machine”. The just released “Lake by the Ocean”, which can be heard below, will be featured on the second installment of blackSUMMERSnight, which is part of an album trilogy. The song, with its sleek groove and its gorgeous rhythm, is already an early favorite of the summer of 2016 in my book.
