Iggy Azalea just released her new single “Team” from her new forthcoming album, Digital Distortion. This is Azalea’s first solo single in over three years. Azalea, who recently departed ways with mentor and rapper T.I., admitted to having a psychotic breakdown due to exhaustion and was tired of how the media portrayed her within the last year. She raps “Baby I Got Me/Are You F*ckin With The Team” over an heavy synth beat. Listen and watch the lyric video to “Team” below.
Garbage announced today that they are set to release their sixth studio album, Strange Little Birds. The new album is set for release on June 10 on the band’s own STUNVOLUME label. Birds follows up 2012’s Not Your Kind of People. Garbage is comprised of Shirley Manson, Steve Marker, Duke Erikson and Butch Vig. The band worked in Butch Vig’s basement and Red Razor Sounds recording studio as they drew on a multitude of sources for inspiration. “The guiding principle was keeping it fresh, and relying on instinct both lyrically and musically”, said frontwoman Shirley Manson. The Lumineers worked really hard to help re-revolutionize the folk genre a few years back and bring it to the forefront of mainstream America. The collective known for the singles “Ho Hey” and “Stubborn Love” reached the masses in 2011 and 2012. Now the band is back with a new album called Cleopatra and the lead single “Ophelia” has been released. I am really rooting that this band still can stay relevant during the EDM and pop times we live in. Not bad for a band coming from Denver, Colorado. Check out their new song below.
Rihanna just released her first official single from her upcoming album Anti. The new single “Work” finds herself teaming up with rapper Drake again and although the beat is catchy, the lyrics are boring and repetitive and just a reflection that RiRi is running out of steam. Check it out and decide for yourself via New Music Express. Anti is slated to drop this week.
Erykah Badu just unleashed her prowess rhyming ability on us once again and this time she is remixing Kanye West’s newest single “Real Friends” called “Trill Friends”. The original song created by West is one of new singles that will be released every Friday in start of his new Swish promotional record campaign. Swish is due out Feb. 11. As far as Fat Baby Bella (aka Erykah Badu) is concerned, the remix of “Trill Friends” will appear on her up coming mixtape THIS $h!t…
Coldplay are back with what might be their final album. They debuted the tripped-out dance tune”Adventure of a Lifetime” this past Friday. It is the first single off the upcoming A Head Full of Dreams. “When we finished “Adventure of a Lifetime”, we were like, ‘Okay we are probably ready to come out again.’ This is one of those songs that brings everything else together on a project,” Chris Martin tells Sirius Radio. “I’m not really on it that much — I sing a bit and play a bit of piano — but it’s really the rest of the band…

When Ellie Goulding came out with “Lights” only a few years ago she was the dubstep/electronica queen. Although her material has gotten more commercial over the years, she knows how to put together a catchy tune. Goulding premieres her newest creation today called “On My Mind” from her upcoming album entitled Delirium. It’s a light pop tune with a crunchy chorus, but hope the rest of the album does not sound like this.
Los Angeles California-based dream-pop quintet Nightjacket have released the brand new music video for their single “The Right Way To Fall.” Taken from the band’s debut EP, Eternal Phase, “The Right Way To Fall” was directed by filmmaker James Pillion of Gyroscope Productions and is a subtly lush, sun-dappled visual that is currently premiering over at CMJ.com. Eternal Phase, which was mixed by Jeff Zeigler (The War on Drugs, Kurt Vile) and mastered by Joe Lambert (Wild Nothing, Deerhunter, Sharon Van Etten), is a collection of six songs that evoke the nocturnal imagery of the later hours of the band’s…
